Breena Cocco graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Dance Studies and a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Florida. Her movement language is idiosyncratic, athletic, and sharp - built on modern and contemporary dance techniques. Cocco had her NYC choreographic debut at the Young Choreographer's Festival at Symphony Space in June 2017. Cocco's works have also been presented at the NewGrounds Festival, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, Richmond Dance Festival, Southeast ACDA Conference, and the Harn Museum of Art. Cocco has studied under Tzveta Kassabova, Pat Graney, Nita Little, and Trent D. Williams, Jr. She has had the pleasure of being cast in works by Pat Graney, George Staib, Doug Gillespie, and Iyun Harrison. Cocco has taught Modern 1 and Modern 2 to middle and high school dancers on a weekly training basis, as well as through master classes.
